We're a local church that gathers in Seattle's University District, with members and friends from around the city, country, and globe. We focus on Kingdom transformation at many levels, from personal to urban to creation itself.
One of the ways we summarize our sense of purpose is simply this: Calling Creation to Life in Christ. Jesus, the "Word made flesh," came to give us Life, and we seek Life in Him as we worship together in Spirit and in Truth, as we extend the mercy and justice of God's Kingdom to the "least, last & lost," and as we invite "whosoever will" to be joined to God's people and be transformed by His marvelous love.
IT'S BEAUTIFUL!
.
Following an arson fire in our fellowship room, we now have a new look! Special thanks go to Keith Miller of Miller Interior Design for the design and for the wonderful way in which he has chosen carpet to bring out the colors in our stain glass windows. The carpet was laid by church members, who are also to be greatly thanked for their dedication and hard work!

WE'RE PAINTING THE BUILDING
.
It's been 19 years since its last painting, and our building would love a new look! Our goal? $80,000...1/3 for exterior repairs.
The initial church building was constructed in 1906, with additional construction in 1907. It was one of the first buildings in the
U-District, created in anticipation of the Alaska-Yukon Exposition and the future site of the University of Washington campus.
Since its construction, the building has housed various church groups, a bookstore, a dance studio, and several restaurants. Today, it is the site of the Seattle Vineyard worshipping community and provides commercial space to a Thai restaurant, a Korean restaurant, and a Vietnamese restaurant.

On June 3, we'll be giving thanks for 25 years as a worshiping community; 11 of them in our building. We'll also be enjoying member art work, and celebrating our graduating students. A time for sharing stories and refreshments follows the service.
